Characters Creation:
*You will be able to create a character to your liking as long as it is allowed by the GM you will be running under. GM has final say on what is acceptable and what isn't for his campaign.
Characters are to begin at level chosen by the GM or agreed upon by his/her group should they decide to include you in the decision.
Characters base equipment for beginning game play will vary depending on how the GM wishes to run his/her campaign. Always ask before you choose to buy something in creation to make sure the balance the GM may be trying to establish isn't thrown off.
*People role playing radical characters in any system be warned that in spirit of RP and game style it is possible that your fellow group members may eventually turn on you should you cross a line in their eyes. This may result in the death of your character or drastic measures being made for him/her to atone for their actions.
Please keep your characters updated on this forum in the appropriate place for your specific campaign so your GM can keep track of your progress and equipment load out. Either use an online character creator for the system your in which there may be links for, or you can type one up by hand. You may also scan pictures and upload them should you have character sheets at home.
Game Play:
Welcome to the wonderful world of Post by Post online gaming. If this is your first experience then hopefully it is a good one. Now for a breakdown of how this system works...
Posting:
First of its up to the GM to decide the posting time he/she wants to stick to. This means the GM can set up the time from his last post that he will post another one. Inside this time frame is when you the player should post. The GM is also in charge of kicking players who miss this time frame multiple times. A player can, at anytime post a action or idea to the forum and other characters can act on it as well. The GM's will mediate and progress the story as you RP through the posts. This takes a lot of heart and good RP to work, those who are new to this style I highly suggest reading past or currently running campaigns to see what it looks like. You need to become your characters while posting. Act and react to things happening in game and let your creativity go.
Fighting:
The honor system will be used in dealing with fighting as a whole. Meaning you need dice or a dice application on your phone and a character sheet that's either paper or digital. All I and the other GM's ask is that your honest. Cause we will catch on when its been a month since your last failed test. Once fighting has been announced the GM will ask for initiative rolls like usual and will post the order the characters and enemies shall proceed. Anyone can post at this time in any order but the GM will carry out the events in order of initiative. Be sure to describe exactly what your doing to avoid any confusion. So far we have been able to get by without needing maps and layouts due to good descriptive GM'ing and players paying attention.
Now should you still have further questions then please feel free to ask either myself or Shamelesslyplugged. You can also post on the general topic board and Im sure one of our friendly players will help you out as best they can.
Thanks,
AJ
