Right then, who likes RP? I think it's great, but if there's one bit of downside to text RP it would have to be how tedious combat is; who is where now, how far away are they again, is X still alive, etc. are common problems faced by pbp combat. I propose the creation of a roll20 account for sitewide, trusted GM use to facilitate smoother combat and, in general, more options for us as nerds... er... players. The GM profile will have access to more tools across the board as well as enhanced quality. Before I start talking about 'gaming synergy' or 'streamlined campaign flow,' have a neat list of the benefits of a basic subscription: 1 GB upload storage (10 MB assets) Use Characters across games Dynamic Lighting & Line of Sight Mobile Tablet Support for the GM and all players Unlimited Game Listings Custom Campaign Backgrounds No Ads for GMs or Players There's other stuff as well, but those are the highlights. It'd be $4 USD/mo. paid from the PayPal account connected to the site and under Aaron's master control. GMs would have access to it to supplement their campaigns if they so choose and it would definitely make big fights more viable and less of a headache. I'm primarily interested in this to streamline fights with 12+ people, roll20 was the first thing I thought of. Thoughts? I like the idea, i just think we need to figure out the logistics of PBP combat being ran through a Roll20 game. I dont think we should drop money until we know for sure that it can run smoothly.
That said, i feel that this could potentially overcomplicate games, and dissuade new members from becoming really invested in our community.
